We have a detailed blog post about this here. It’s a 5-minute read and will help you design them correctly. Please have a look as this will save you a lot of time in the long run. Here's a brief overview of what Black Plate Changes means: Any element that is made up out of CMYK (Logos, Photos, etc.) MUST be completely static and cannot move/change at all from month to month. Any element that changes from month to month can only be BLACK (K value). It doesn't have to be 100% K, but it MUST only be K. Limitations: Having a CMYK watermark behind the Black monthly elements WILL NOT work for Black Plate Changes. The first black plate forms part of that CMYK watermark and when the black plate changes on subsequent months, the new black plates will not register with the CMY of that watermark. If every page/month has a different photo or logo in CMYK this WILL NOT work for Black Plate Changes. Use high-resolution imagery - these are large format prints, high-resolution imagery will ensure that your brand looks its best. Include important public holidays - this adds to their utility. Include school holidays to provide added value to parents of school-going children. Provide ample space to take notes - this also makes it very useful for you and your recipients Lastly keep the design simple and include important contact details. While we are on the topic of design, for the best results, use professional design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator. Also, ensure that your saved artwork file adheres to all the items on our print-ready checklist.. If you are not comfortable with the respective design software, we recommend using our in-house design services. This is crucial, as a poor design can, in fact, harm the overall impact of your brand.

Refinement: Adhesive Binding is ideal for binding the pages of your deskpad calendars. The pages are gathered and held together by an adhesive. This type of binding will hold your pages in place and allow you to easily tear away an entire page while still preserving the integrity of the pad and the pages.
The deskpad calendars started its life as a table protector to prevent tables from being scratched, marked or painted on. This intuitively developed into a large notepad and eventually evolved into a calendar. Today this is essential business stationery for anyone who needs to stay on top of their daily schedule and tasks. This is why it is often referred to as a “desk planner”.
