Product Description

Printulu recommends making sure that your PUR bind booklets and brochures are triple-checked before submitting them for print. Also, place considerable thought into your layout and design to bring your annual report, magazine, yearbook, or brand to life.

The basic content of booklets includes the company name and logo, products and service illustrations, as well as descriptions. It’s also important to include contact details such as address, email, telephone number, and website.

For the best results, use professional design software such as Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator. Also, ensure that your closed artwork file respects all the items on the checklist for closing Your artwork. If you are not comfortable with the respective design software, we recommend you employ the services of a design professional. This is crucial, as a poor design can, in fact, harm your overall story and brand.

Refinement
Lamination covers your booklets with a thin plastic film to protect them against water damage, scuffs, and worn edges. Choosing lamination adds elegance and quality to your booklets while enhancing the brilliance of the colours.

We don’t offer leather bound covers or hard cover. However, you can configure your cover pages to be a heavier paper than your inside pages. Please note that our heaviest grammage is not a hard cover, but is still durable.

Our standard offering is up to 500 pages, anything within those boundaries is printable by us. However, if you have relatively complex requirements such as more pages, different covers, and finishes, you can email support@printulu.co.za and one of our customer service consultants will process your request accordingly.

Bleed is the area around your artwork that is trimmed off. This allows your design to look as if it was printed to the edge, even when the cutting alignment was slightly off. Your bleed should always extend to at least 3mm.

The history of booklets is as old as writing on paper. This started with tablets, scrolls, and sheets of papyrus. What immediately predates the bound multi-page books we know today were handbound, and sometimes handwritten, codices which could only be afforded by the ultra-wealthy. Thanks to the invention of the printing press, introduced to us by Johannes Gutenberg, many have access today, to a plethora of books at reasonable costs. These advancements in mass production techniques also enabled the business to print booklets showcasing their goods and services.
